2019 American Mountains Litter

See pictures and video of how they turned out below!

We have begun a new training venture with a few of the puppies from our current litter, diabetic alert basics. When the puppies were 3 weeks old we began exposing them to the scent of a low blood sugar saliva sample on a swab prior to nursing so that they would form a connection between the scent and a reward. The following video shows the progress that Lincoln has made with this kind of scent detection. You will see that he really enjoys playing scent games.

Willow's puppies are almost 2 weeks old. They are beginning to walk and wobble and their eyes are beginning to open.

They have arrived!

Willow began hard labor around 2:30 a.m. on February 7th and by 8 a.m. she had delivered 11 healthy and strong sable puppies. She delivered the first 9 puppies in 2 hours and the last two puppies were spaced out over the next four hours. There are 6 girls and 5 boys. Some are dark sable and several have white factoring. It is a very colorful litter!
